Preparation and characterization of nano-crystalline LiNi0.5Co0.5VO4 by tartate precursor combustion method
Authors
Abstract:
LiNi0.5Co0.5VO4 has been successfully synthesized by tartate precursor combustion method using Li2CO3, Co(NO3)2.6H2O, Ni(NO3)2.6H2O and NH4VO3 as a starting materials in deionized water with the subsequent calcination at 450-600 oC for 12 h. The combustion and decomposition of tartate precursor were studied by TGA and compared with tartaric acid. It found weight loss at 50-450 oC. The product showed a inverse spinel LiNi0.5Co0.5VO4 which confirmed by PXRD. The crystal and particle sizes improved when calcination temperature was increased. Raman and FITR were studied the vibration of product. They detected V-O stretching in VO4 tetrahedron, Li-O bending in LiO6 octahedron and Li-O-M (M = Ni and Co) stretching. The TEM showed morphologies that composed nano-particle of LiNi0.5Co0.5VO4.

full textSolution Combustion Preparation Of Nano-Al2O3: Synthesis and Characterization
The aluminum oxide materials are widely used in ceramics, refractories and abrasives due to their hardness, chemical inertness, high melting point, non-volatility and resistance to oxidation and corrosion. The paper describes work done on synthesis of α-alumina by using the simple, non-expensive solution combustion method using glycine as fuel.Aluminum oxide (Al2O3) nanoparticles were synthesiz...
full textOne Step Rapid Synthesis of Nano-Crystalline ZnO by Microwave-Assisted Solution Combustion Method
In this study nano-crystalline ZnO particles were synthesized by microwave-assisted solution combustion method. Zinc nitrate and urea were used as oxidizer and fuel, respectively. The effect of fuel to oxidizer (F/O) ratio on ZnO powder properties was investigated by using different urea/nitrate ratios. X-ray diffractometer, scanning electron microscopy and fourier transform infra-red were used...
full textEffect of various fuels on structure and photo-catalytic activity of TiO2 nano-crystalline prepared by microwave-assisted combustion method
Nano-crystalline TiO2 were synthesized by combustion method using metal nitrate solution and urea, glycin and citric acid fuels. Microwave irradiation was used as heating source. X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscope as well as Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy were performed to characterize the obtained samples. X-ray diffraction patterns revealed that in the case of citric aci...
